
About Me
Austin Drake
With seven years of experience in various industries including technology, consulting, and government, I have increased my knowledge in data analysis, event production, content marketing, project management, operations, communications, and strategy. Currently, I am the cofounder of Authentic Craft, LLC. I serve as the head of product development, marketing, and partnerships.

At Deloitte, I worked for two Fortune 50 companies to: assess the finances of their partners, analyze product certifications, determine royalty rates, and understand the legal relationship between my client and their partners. At Meta, I have managed various teams within the Global Risk Operations org, working on various projects. Some accomplishments include: managing a team of 30+ in reviewing viral content for all of North America (250MM+ users), reduced the ability to view six violating key words on Facebook platform by at least 72% in five countries; implement and scale a new protocol to help reduce the cost of reviewing content; and successfully monitor and mitigate harm for two major elections -- including the 2022 US Midterms.
Furthermore, I have served on three nonprofits and was notably the Vice President of the UC Berkeley Black Alumni Association for three years. During my time, I increased our membership by 46% and created a monthly social event series. After BAA, I served as the Director of Marketing, Programs, & Organizational Development at the Urban League of Greater San Francisco Bay Area. At the ULBA, I led strategic gap analysis on our services, used Asana to organize and decrease our workload by 40%, and optimized our marketing strategy to increase social following and event attendance by 9.2% and 15% respectively.

Most recently, I worked for Congresswoman Barbara Lee, who has now been elected mayor of Oakland. Here, I managed constituent casework, led youth engagement programs, produced district events, and built relationships with local and federal partners.
The experience and knowledge I have gained, along with the people I've worked with has granted me comfortability in the presence of ambiguity and the unknown. I have strong flexible and am adaptable for fast-paced environments that require quick thinking and collaboration. Finally, my experience has also given me the ability to be a connector -- connecting ideas and people to generate efficient teams and effective solutions.
